FOUNDER CHAIRMAN AND MD

A professional graduate Engineer (Civil) with diversified experience of 30 years in Govt and private sector for Project Management of Housing, Infrastructure and Agri-business projects. He joined private sector after taking voluntary retirement from the government as an Executive Engineer. In private sector, he headed construction and project management for two Hospital projects in Assam, AIIMS like apex hospitals in Jodhpur and Bhubaneswar and a Real Estate Project in Delhi. Presently, he has been working as a Consultant in policy-making for a DFID funded project of Govt. of India. As a social worker, he was the Chief Executive (General Secretary) of Assam Association, Delhi, a premier socio-cultural organization,  of the people of Assam in Delhi, established in 1947 for 3 eventful terms. As a social entrepreneur, he has been engaged in Community development initiatives in rural areas in Nagaon, Assam, since 2000. He is a writer and especially well-known as a lyricist of Assamese language, who has penned down several popular songs for icon singers of Assam in Mumbai namely Angaraag Papon Mahanta. He was nominated to Prag Cine Awards-2014 held in Banglore, in the category of best lyricist, for one of his songs written for Assamese film ‘Raag’. He dreams of making an equitable, peaceful society with love and compassion and vibrant with creative energy.

TRISHNA BARKAKATI

She is a creative person, trained in formal classical instrumental music and an actor acting in plays, TV dramas and a recent Assamese feature film. She is also a literary person involved in story-writing in Assamese language. She has translated numerous radio TV drama/ advertisement script/ jingles to Assamese from Hindi and a few books for National Book Trust, Delhi. She has the reputation of short story writing in Assamese and apart from various magazines, she has recently published her collection of short stories named ‘Unmana Monor Dapon’ (Mirror of euphoric mind). Continuing her passion for social activities, since her college days in Assam as an activist of the famous students’ movement of Assam in the eighties, she has been active with various socio-cultural organisations in her present location in Delhi. In Delhi, she also worked for an NGO for woman empowerment. Professionally, she is a freelance voice over/dubbing/anchoring/advertising artist in both audio-visual mediums of Radio and Television. She desires to devote herself for the service of the society.

DIRECTOR-PROJECTS AND MEDIA MANAGEMENT

A Film Critic/Journalist (now getting into film-making) based in New Delhi, Guwahati (Assam)-born Utpal Borpujari has been writing on cinema, culture, literature, North-East India, politics, science, et al. Winner of the Swarna Kamal (Golden Lotus)Award for the Best Film Critic at the 50th National Film Awards of India, 2003, he became a journalist after doing an M.Tech in Applied Geology from University of Roorkee (now IIT-Roorkee). Though he has been staying in India’s capital New Delhi for professional reasons since 1994, he returns home to Assam at least once a year and maintains strong connections with his roots. Also A member of the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI), he has served on several prestigious film juries. He writes on cinema and various other subjects in several prestigious publications. He has earlier worked with prestigious media organizations like Deccan Herald, The Sentinel, Press Trust of India and www.indiatimes.com. He lives in New Delhi with his wife and two sons, and is associated with the North-East Media Forum, the platform for journalists from North-East India working in the Indian capital. He is passionate to make a difference to the world.

DIRECTOR-FINANCE AND COMMUNICATION

A development sector professional (Urban and Regional Planner, CEPT University, Ahmadabad) having experience of 10 years, started her carrier with a Civil Society Organisation based in Gujarat and Rajasthan. She has extensive experience in the sectors of Human Rights, Good governance, Advocacy on Human Rights issues, Gender, Urban Development, Water Security, Sanitation, Capacity Building and Training etc. She has vast work experience of dealing with the community, civil society, liaison with various levels of government institutions from Urban Local Bodies, State and Central Government. She is recently working as an Urban Planner under the DFID funded support programme i.e. Support to National Policies and Programmes for Poverty Reduction (SNPUPR) and directly providing technical support to Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation (MoHUPA) on design and implementation of various Policies/Programme/Schemes such as Rajiv Awas Yojana (drafting the Guidelines in Slum Free City Plan), Integrate Low Cost Sanitation Scheme (ILCS) Guidelines, Scheme for Urban Homeless, Rental Housing Policy in India etc. With all these versatile experience and expertise, she aspires to contribute and add value to the society through joining hands in collaboration with like-minded people, community at large and to make a difference and leave a legacy.
